Rising
White Sands is gypsum — not quartz, not sandstone — pure white mineral dunes that stretch farther than you can walk in a day. The light there does things it doesn't do anywhere else. No shadow is the same twice.
This series is both black-and-white and color. The monochrome images lean into abstraction — the dunes become form and tone, stripped of everything but curve and light. The color work is quieter, more intimate.
