Pura Vida
Costa Rica isn’t just a place, for many its a way of life.
"Pura Vida" is a phrase commonly used by locals in Costa Rica. The literal translation means "pure life," but its meaning goes much deeper. "La Fortuna" is Spanish for "The Fortune", and is aptly named due to the region’s ample supply of extremely fertile lands. Within this dense forest of greenery lies the La Fortuna Waterfall. Surrounded by palms, ferns, and the majestic Ceiba trees the waterfall breaks through for the joy of those who have trekked to find it. The sight is a true fortune for all who are able to view it, standing at over 70 meters tall as it cascades into a crystal-clear pool below.
